Product Range
Miniature Toggle Switch Options for Panel & PCB Assembly
Miniature toggle switches provide manual circuit control where installation space is limited. This range includes different switching functions, pole configurations, terminal layouts and handle styles. Start with the required circuit operation, then compare the electrical rating and mounting drawing for the exact version. Related rocker-actuator and covered-handle styles are also listed in this category.
Maintained & Momentary Functions
Choose maintained operation when the switch needs to stay in its selected position, or momentary operation when it should return after release. Available circuit functions include ON-OFF, ON-ON and center-OFF arrangements. In catalog function codes, parentheses indicate a momentary position, such as OFF-(ON) or (ON)-OFF-(ON). Confirm the required switching sequence and number of poles before ordering.
Solder & PCB Terminals
Solder terminals suit wired assemblies, while PCB terminals connect the switch directly to a circuit board. The catalog also shows horizontal, vertical and long solder-terminal options. Terminal direction, pin spacing and support brackets affect fit, so compare the drawing with the intended wiring or PCB layout. Availability depends on the product version.
Handle & Mounting Options
Standard, long, short and flat handles offer different reach and operating feel. Plastic and metal actuator styles, handle caps and bracket-supported versions are shown in the catalog. Check the panel opening, thread, bushing length, panel thickness and clearance around the actuator. A handle cap or protective cover does not by itself establish an IP rating.
Electrical Ratings & Specification Checks
The miniature toggle catalog lists AC ratings of 6A at 125VAC and 3A at 250VAC. These values provide a reference for the covered catalog range; the current product specification and exact ordering code determine the applicable rating. Use the specified AC or DC rating for the actual load rather than treating the two as interchangeable.
For motors, lamps and other loads with starting or inrush current, include the load type as well as the operating voltage and current in the enquiry. Temperature limits, contact resistance, insulation performance and electrical life should be confirmed against the current datasheet for the required version.
Samples & Production Enquiries
Send the required switching function, pole configuration, terminal style, mounting dimensions and estimated quantity. Include a drawing or reference photo if the switch will replace an existing part. Confirm the full ordering code, included mounting hardware, sample requirements, packaging and delivery schedule with the quotation.
Applications
Typical Switch Applications
Compact toggle switches give operators a direct control point on electronic equipment. The circuit function, mounting space and load requirements determine the appropriate model.
Instrumentation & Test Equipment
Provide manual ON-OFF or function switching on compact instrument panels and electronic test assemblies.
Communication Equipment
Use single-pole or double-pole switching for control functions in telecommunications and networking equipment.
OEM Electronic Assemblies
Match solder or PCB terminals to the assembly layout, with the circuit function and mounting drawing agreed before production.
Common Questions
Toggle Switch FAQs
Answers about switching functions, terminals, ratings and production enquiries.
For a Project Enquiry
Send a model code and quantity, or share the circuit function and mounting drawing.
Send Project DetailsA maintained switch stays in its selected position. A momentary switch returns after release. Parentheses in the catalog function notation identify momentary positions. Specify which positions should latch and which should return.
Specify both the switching sequence and the required number of poles and throws. Similar-looking switches can have different internal connections, so confirm the circuit diagram rather than selecting by terminal count alone.
Not automatically. Terminal direction, pin spacing, body dimensions and support brackets can differ. Compare the product drawing with the wiring or board layout before substituting a version.
Versions with specified AC and DC ratings can be used in the corresponding circuits. Select the exact switch by its rated voltage, current and load type, including starting or inrush current where relevant. Where only an AC rating is listed, contact DAIER to confirm the applicable DC specification.
A handle cap or cover alone does not establish an IP rating. Confirm accessory compatibility and the documented protection level for the complete installed assembly.
Provide the switching function, circuit configuration, voltage and current, terminal and mounting requirements, and estimated quantity. Add the full part number, drawing or photo when available.
Discuss Your Miniature Toggle Switch Requirements
