Send Project DetailsUse internal clearance and mounting-plate dimensions, not external size alone. Allow room for terminals, cable bends and cover movement; request the drawing for the exact model.
Match the documented rating to the expected rain, dust and installation conditions. Cover seals, cable glands and added openings affect the complete assembly; one rating does not cover every model.
Fans and vents change the enclosure configuration. Check the exposure limits for the complete ventilated version and match cooling to the equipment heat load. Do not assume the protection of a sealed box.
Mounting plates, DIN rails, brackets and cable glands vary by ordering code. Confirm the parts list and gland thread or cable diameter; terminals, wiring and equipment are not automatically included.
