773 series Terminal block connector:

The 773 series terminal block connector for junction boxes provides an immediate solution for use with solid conductors with cross-sections up 4mm². The transparent housing also enables the electrician or installer to see at a glance whether all the conductors have been fully inserted and properly connected.

Single pole commoning terminal – Simply pushing the stripped conductor into the connector makes the connection. The transparent housing provides a visible indication that the conductor is secure. There is a test point in the base of the housing. To remove the connector simply pull on the conductor whilst twisting the connector block left and right. The connector can then be reused.

773 terminal block connector meet the most stringent UK and international standards including the electrical requirements of BS7671 17th Edition. Installers can be totally confident that using 773 terminal block connector enables them to follow ‘best practice’ procedures and fully comply with the most up to date safety criteria.

A ring main can be supplied through a 32amp MCB as there are two current paths. Using 2.5mm cable to make the ring no arm of the ring should carry more than 20 Amps as this is the current carrying capacity of the cable. Therefore the minimum requirement for a junction in a ring is 20Amps (See BS7671: 433.1.5) The pushfit connectors are rated up to 24 Amps and therefore maybe used in a ring main circuit.
